This project consisted of LandTek providing the New York Institute of Technology with one of the highest quality athletic facilities in the New York Metropolitan area. This synthetic turf baseball facility has been a shining example of the turn-key services LandTek regularly provides clients. This facility consists of a 120,000 square foot synthetic turf baseball field, 40’ high netting backstop with 4’ high perimeter chain link fence and padding, two masonry dugouts with custom masonry and benches, Duraedge clay pitchers mound, natural stone warning track, and double batting cage and bullpen.
The LandTek Group’s relationship with the New York Jets has been long-standing. In 2020 LandTek was contracted to replace the 95,000 sq. ft. MetLife Stadium with FieldTurf’s synthetic turf system and removable endzones. In 2021 The LandTek Group® was asked to refresh the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center’s indoor and outdoor fields. The new turf fields are complete with updated center logos and colored endzones. The 27-acre training center was built in 2008 and is the headquarters for the New York Jets.

Completed in September of 2015, City of New Brunswick can once again proudly host a multitude of competitive sports events in their stadium sports complex. The newly renovated facility contains a synthetic turf field for football, soccer and lacrosse along with a new 6-lane collegiate level all weather outdoor running track surface with satellite field events, fencing, ADA compliant ramp/walkways, commemorative flag pole and water fountain.
This publicly bid project presented a number of sequencing and scheduling challenges with the extensive interior and exterior storm water management retention and detention system designed to tie into and work in unison with the townships existing storm water system along with construction of large concrete retaining wall and ADA compliant design enhancements to walkway ramp.
The LandTek Group® provided Stony Brook University with a top tier athletic training facility. This project features the construction of an indoor Legacy recreation center, including the fieldhouse and a synthetic turf field. The new athletic facility provides the Seawolves athletic teams with year-round training in all weather conditions. This Legacy facility is a tension fabric structure over a steel frame, measuring 320 ft. x 190 ft. and over 70 ft. tall. Project highlights include, year round temperature control and indoor Musco lighting system and a full netting system. The facility includes a support building structure which houses offices, sports equipment storage, locker rooms, and MEP equipment. The construction required a high level of site logistical planning with the design team, subcontractors and the needs of the athletic department.
Named in memory of Cornelius Murphy, a Fordham University Student who died during a Fordham football game against Bucknell in 1931, Murphy Field is a top of the line athletic facility for the Fordham University Rams. Murphy field serves many functions for the university; hosting the home games of the Rams softball and soccer teams, and also functioning as the Rams football practice facility.
Murphy Field encompasses many areas of expertise that the LandTek Group® possesses in athletic facility construction. The softball field features top of the line DuraEdge infield mix, synthetic FieldTurf® outfield with the school’s logo, and removable outfield fencing. The multi-sport field is suitable for football and soccer, and includes the schools logo on the 50 yard line. Also included in this stunning facility are synthetic FieldTurf® bullpens and custom fencing.
This publicly bid renovation of existing sports fields consisted of a large multi-tiered and multiphased project that broke ground in May of 2016 and was completed in the spring of 2017.
The project involved substantial earthwork along with rapid impact compaction. Contaminated soils required a full time LSRP for the construction of a multi-tiered layout to accommodate the upper tier synthetic turf stadium field and lower tier multipurpose synthetic turf field. The facility also required a very detailed and intricate transition utilizing large retaining wall systems, Musco sports lighting and custom aluminum and renovated concrete bleacher systems accompany both fields.
This ground-up construction included 6 tennis courts, an outdoor roller rink, synthetic multipurpose soccer, and lacrosse field, a full-sized synthetic baseball field with a regulation soccer field within the outfield, and a brand new synthetic multipurpose field for football, soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey, and a 6 lane running track. The scope included new concrete walkways, archways, and a new brick concession stand.

This project publicly bid two times unsuccessfully coming in overbudget and was rejected by the BOE. The LandTek Group® as part of the KPN Cooperative purchasing design/build team provided a proposal that met all of the schools program requirements and most importantly their budget. A ground breaking ceremony was conducted in May of2015 and the Football team played their first game in September of the same year. The newly renovated facility contains a new synthetic competition turf field, new expanded 8-lane running track with large uniquely designed retaining wall high jump area all with an all-weather polyurethane running track surface. The newly named STA Stadium is complete with sports lighting, walkways, fencing, a new large away team spectator seating system along with a new spectator main entrance way and parking area. The construction of this complex also included an extensive storm water management system designed to lie into and worn in unison with the townships existing storm water system.

Diamond Nation located in Hunterdon County, New Jersey recently opened a new stadium built by The LandTek Group®. The 105,000 sq. ft. synthetic turf stadium is complete with three baseball fields, dugouts, bleachers, and a Musco lighting system. The scope of the turn-key project also included ground-up construction, drainage, and fencing. New concrete walkways connect the new field to their existing fields.
The Diamond Nation complex consists of five fields with 90’ basepaths and two fields with 50/70 basepaths. The facility features a unique design unlike any other in the country with the larger fields capable of being converted into two Little League size fields, each having its own backstops, dugouts, and bullpens. This gives the complex the ability to play twelve games at a time and the versatility to have both baseball and softball games.
