Overview
Phase one of the sports and recreation facility at Wellington High School in Wellington, FL, has recently been completed. The LandTek Group® initiated the project by resurfacing the multipurpose field with new synthetic turf suitable for football, soccer, and lacrosse, making Wellington High School only the third school in the county to feature an artificial turf field. Additionally, the surrounding track was resurfaced and widened. We coordinated all site work, including drainage, laser grading, and enhancements to the track and field components.

Overview
The LandTek Group® collaborated with FieldTurf on a significant project in Cooper City, FL, overseeing the construction of three soccer fields and a multipurpose field suitable for both soccer and football. Our team managed all civil work, which included the installation of drainage systems, aggregate base construction, and the creation of concrete curbs and walkways. This project was honored by the ASBA Awards Committee in the multi-field category.

Overview

Oxbridge Academy sought to enhance their football field with new synthetic turf and to establish natural turf on their practice field. It was essential to create a multi-sport field that could endure year-round use while maintaining optimal condition.

The LandTek Group® designed and executed the project, incorporating a stone base and an effective drainage system. We prioritized strong connections by ensuring that no corners were cut in terms of drainage or fill material. Our consulting expertise and knowledge of turf materials led to football fields that were completed on schedule and within budget.

Overview

Following significant flooding challenges, The LandTek Group® effectively addressed adverse ground conditions that necessitated extensive soil modifications. The practice football fields were designed to withstand daily usage and the demanding weather conditions of Florida.

Our team successfully oversaw the renovation of two facilities at the University of Miami. This project included the construction of a synthetic grass field featuring a stone base and drainage system, as well as two natural grass fields cultivated with Bermuda grass, equipped with optimized irrigation and drainage solutions.

Overview

The LandTek Group® completed the conversion of the multipurpose field at Prince George High School in Virginia from natural to synthetic turf. This transformation was specifically tailored to meet the needs of the school’s athletic program, including the installation of two long jump pits directly integrated into the field design. The field was equipped with a storm retention system to manage water drainage efficiently. The school district is the sole user of this field.

Hofstra University

Overview

The LandTek Group® recently completed synthetic turf replacements for both the soccer and field hockey fields at Hofstra University. The soccer field received a significant upgrade with the installation of iron turf, marking a milestone as the first woven synthetic turf field in New York. Fencing was also installed.

For the field hockey facility, the existing turf was replaced with FieldTurf Hockey Gold. In addition to the turf replacement, LandTek installed brand new water cannons to ensure proper irrigation of the fields. These cannons are used to wet the field before play, which helps to speed up ball roll and improve overall playability. A new e-layer, or elastic layer, was also added beneath the turf to enhance shock absorption and provide a more comfortable playing surface for athletes. Fencing was also installed.

Overview

The LandTek Group® completed an extensive project at Clayton High School, converting the natural grass multipurpose stadium field to synthetic turf. This transformation included all demolition work, substantial earthwork, extensive drainage improvements, fencing, concrete bleacher pads and walkways, an upgraded electrical system, and parking lot lighting and sports equipment.

The new parking lot was constructed with stormwater infiltration basins to manage runoff effectively. Additionally, a sophisticated drainage system was installed beneath the synthetic turf to meet the stormwater requirements for the new stadium field. This system ensures efficient water management, preventing flooding and maintaining the field’s integrity.

Overview

The LandTek Group® recently undertook a comprehensive renovation of four natural grass and clay softball fields at the James Moyer Complex in Salem, Virginia. These fields are utilized by Salem High School softball and Roanoke College softball teams, in addition to hosting numerous national and regional tournaments. As part of the renovation, the LandTek Group stripped the existing grass and soil, added a new irrigation system, installed a custom rootzone mix, and sodded all fields with Tahoma 31 bermudagrass. Additionally, new bullpens and batting cages were installed, further enhancing the facilities. The project helped solidify LandTek’s reputation in southwest Virginia for high-end athletic facilities.

Overview
Named after New York Yankees Hall of Famer and baseball legend Yogi Berra, Yogi Berra Stadium has been home to the Red Hawks baseball team since 1999. The LandTek Group® was excited to convert the existing natural grass NCAA field to a synthetic turf field. LandTek also constructed a large Storm-Tech Chamber drainage system underneath the field to accommodate drainage requirements of the new turf field. LandTek performed all demolition work, earthwork, extensive drainage improvements, construction of bullpens, batting cages, wall padding, fencing, dugouts, pitch clocks, and baseball equipment. LandTek also performed improvements to locker rooms, press box, electrical systems, and HVAC systems. The stadium has a permanent seating capacity of nearly 3,800 that expands to a capacity of 5,000 with lawn seating along the right field line.

Overview

The LandTek Group® recently complete an extensive renovation project at Villanova’s softball field, combining the best of natural and synthetic elements. The natural softball field was demoed, and a synthetic Astroturf outfield and natural skinned infield was installed.

LandTek also installed new athletic fencing, gates, foul poles, bases, upgraded bullpens, and state-of-the-art batting cages. This new field compliments the schools other athletic fields renovated and upgraded by The LandTek Group®.
