The LandTek Group® is proud to contribute to the most recent renovations to Ellsworth W. Allen Park in Farmingdale, NY. The 22.5 acre expansion was completed in 2020 and has been recognized by the American Society of Civil Engineers with the 2020 Quality of Life Award. The LandTek Group® installed new a irrigation system and a water main to connect the existing park to the newly constructed park. Using synthetic turf LandTek built softball & baseball infields and constructed a synthetic turf t-ball field. The build scope also included a multipurpose field with three inlaid different sized soccer field lines. All the fields were connected by concrete walkways and LandTek installed a new 30’ chain-link fencing that incorporated ball stop netting systems into the design. New sod and natural running tracks were added along with brick pavers around a newly built comfort station. Additional amities included new bleacher systems, backstops, batting cages, scoreboards, and bocce ball courts.
This Danville Area School District elected to award this project directly utilizing the KPN Cooperative Purchasing Program in lieu of going through the standard public sealed bid process. The complete turnkey stadium renovation was completed in 2017.
The state of the art stadium renovation process included a new multipurpose synthetic turf field, new asphalt base for track configuration, new all-weather polyurethane outdoor running track surface, fencing and a ball stopper safety netting system. The project required substantial earthwork and an extensive underground storm water management system with a PVC lined loop drain to protect against sink-holes that are prone in this region due to underlying limestone geology in the area.
Phase one of Wellington High Schools’ sports and recreation facility in Wellington, FL has recently been completed. LTG Sports Turf One, a division of LandTek, started by resurfacing the multipurpose field with brand new synthetic turf for football, soccer, and lacrosse. This makes Wellington High School only the 3rd in the county to have an artificial turf field. The surrounding track was also resurfaced and widened. LTG Sports Turf One coordinated all site work, drainage, laser grading, and enhancements to the track and field elements.
This publicly bid renovation of existing sports fields consisted of a large multi-tiered and multiphased project that broke ground in May of 2016 and was completed in the spring of 2017.
The project involved substantial earthwork along with rapid impact compaction. Contaminated soils required a full time LSRP for the construction of a multi-tiered layout to accommodate the upper tier synthetic turf stadium field and lower tier multipurpose synthetic turf field. The facility also required a very detailed and intricate transition utilizing large retaining wall systems, Musco sports lighting and custom aluminum and renovated concrete bleacher systems accompany both fields.
This ground-up construction included 6 tennis courts, an outdoor roller rink, synthetic multipurpose soccer, and lacrosse field, a full-sized synthetic baseball field with a regulation soccer field within the outfield, and a brand new synthetic multipurpose field for football, soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey, and a 6 lane running track. The scope included new concrete walkways, archways, and a new brick concession stand.

This NCAA Division I Baseball facility project was completed in September of 2016, providing Villanova University with the much needed modernized athletic facilities necessary to support their growing baseball program. The major improvements made to the Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth Baseball Complex afford the Division I baseball program an unlimited ability to practice and compete along with minimal maintenance and/or cancellations regardless of weather conditions. The newly improved facility contains a new state of the art three tone synthetic turf infield. The construction of this complex also involved a sub-base drainage system designed to tie into and work in unison with the existing extensive storm water system.
The LandTek Group® partnered with FieldTurf on a large scale project in Cooper City, FL. The LandTek Group® oversaw the base work construction of three soccer fields and a multipurpose field for soccer and football. We performed all civil work, including drainage systems, aggregate base work, concrete curbs and walkways. The project was recognized by the ASBA Awards Committee in the multi-field category.
