MADISON, NJ – Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus and its athletic department announce the addition of track and field teams, coming in the fall of 2022. This announcement comes after FDU recently completed construction on the brand-new Elizabeth Ruth Hennessy track and field complex located near the Madison Avenue entrance of the Florham Campus. FDU will begin a national search for its first track and field head coach in school history immediately.
“Staying true to our mission, we are very excited to announce the addition of both men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field at the Florham Campus, increasing our sport offerings to 23 NCAA sports,” said FDU’s Division III Athletics Director Jennifer Noon.
“It is a very exciting time at Fairleigh Dickinson University, especially within the athletic department,” said President Christopher A. Capuano. “We are at the forefront of facilities upgrades with the beautiful new Elizabeth Ruth Hennessy Field, and the soon to be completed Vincent J. and Lenda F. Naimoli Ballpark, which will be one of the most elite baseball complexes in all of Division III athletics. The future of Devils athletics is bright, and we look forward to continuing to expand opportunities and attract high-caliber student-athletes to pursue their dreams at FDU.” New Track
