Project Overview

Fairfax County previously has completed converting the stadium fields to turf and is in the process of converting the practice fields to Synthetic Turf to allow for all sports to have a place to practice during the spring season. Westfield High School is one of the largest schools in the Commonwealth in regards to student enrollment and the demand for playing space is at an all time high.

The LandTek Group provided excavation to subgrade of the existing grass field, installation of drainage improvements, curbing, ACO drains, stone base, flat panel drains, track amenities, track installation and overall erosion control measures. Football Ten yard lines, soccer, and field hockey permanent markings highlighted the field reconstruction. In addition, Sportsfield Specialties Sand Catcher Long Jump pits were installed in order to keep the D zones tidy.
