Overview

The LandTek Group® recently completed the construction of The Elizabeth R. Hennessey Field at the Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. The multi-purpose turf field is designed for both men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s Lacrosse, and field hockey. The synthetic turf field is surrounded by a custom blue 8 lane running track, new digital scoreboard, chain-link athletic fencing, and a ball stop netting system. LandTek also constructed a new asphalt parking a lot with concrete walking paths adjacent to the new athletic field.

Overview

Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Vincent J. & Lenda F. Naimoli Ballpark was recently converted from natural grass to synthetic turf by The LandTek Group®. The new construction included a warning track, perimeter fencing, scoreboard, and new grandstands. The LandTek Group® also constructed brand-new brick dugouts, synthetic turf batting cages, bullpens, press box, and a ball stop netting. Newly constructed concrete walkways connect the park along with decorative lamp posts.

Overview

47,000 Sq. ft of synthetic turf infield was laid at Comsewogue High School this year when The LandTek Group® converted the school’s natural grass baseball and softball fields to synthetic turf. Overall improvements include new perimeter fencing and chain link backstops installed on each field. The work also covered laser grading the fields and a new drainage system.

Overview

This publicly bid project was completed in 2018 and provided the Littlestown School District and community with a much-needed state of the art high school multipurpose sports stadium.

The project involved final cleanup of the elementary school demolition and site preparation needed to allow The LandTek Group® to begin the turnkey transformation into a showcase sports facility. Project consisted of a new competition multi-sport synthetic turf field, Musco sports lighting, decorative stone veneer concession/bathroom/locker room/ticket booths, home and away bleachers with press box and parking facilities. The unique entrance way is surrounded by a decorative fence with stone veneer columns and sitting walls enhanced by lighted paver walkways and an impressive, suspended Thunderbolt airplane representing the districts mascot.

Overview

The LandTek Group® is proud to contribute to the most recent renovations to Ellsworth W. Allen Park in Farmingdale, NY. The 22.5 acre expansion was completed in 2020 and has been recognized by the American Society of Civil Engineers with the 2020 Quality of Life Award. The LandTek Group® installed new a irrigation system and a water main to connect the existing park to the newly constructed park. Using synthetic turf LandTek built softball & baseball infields and constructed a synthetic turf t-ball field. The build scope also included a multipurpose field with three inlaid different sized soccer field lines. All the fields were connected by concrete walkways and LandTek installed a new 30’ chain-link fencing that incorporated ball stop netting systems into the design. New sod and natural running tracks were added along with brick pavers around a newly built comfort station. Additional amities included new bleacher systems, backstops, batting cages, scoreboards, and bocce ball courts.

Overview

This Danville Area School District elected to award this project directly utilizing the KPN Cooperative Purchasing Program in lieu of going through the standard public sealed bid process. The complete turnkey stadium renovation was completed in 2017.

The state of the art stadium renovation process included a new multipurpose synthetic turf field, new asphalt base for track configuration, new all-weather polyurethane outdoor running track surface, fencing and a ball stopper safety netting system. The project required substantial earthwork and an extensive underground storm water management system with a PVC lined loop drain to protect against sink-holes that are prone in this region due to underlying limestone geology in the area.

Overview

Phase one of Wellington High Schools’ sports and recreation facility in Wellington, FL has recently been completed. LTG Sports Turf One, a division of LandTek, started by resurfacing the multipurpose field with brand new synthetic turf for football, soccer, and lacrosse. This makes Wellington High School only the 3rd in the county to have an artificial turf field. The surrounding track was also resurfaced and widened. LTG Sports Turf One coordinated all site work, drainage, laser grading, and enhancements to the track and field elements.

Overview

SUNY Maritime’s new 101,000 sq. ft. synthetic turf baseball field overlooks the Manhattan skyline from the Bronx campus. The LandTek Group® converted the natural baseball field to synthetic turf. The new turf covers both the outfield and infield. LandTek also constructed a new perimeter ball-stop netting system, a new backstop, and chain-link perimeter fencing. The project was complete with a new flagpole, foul poles, and installation of a Musco lighting system.

Overview

Home of the Copiague Youth League, Tanner park recently received an upgrade to their Little League baseball fields. All four infields were converted from natural clay and grass to Field Turf’s state-of-the-art artificial turf. LandTek self-performed all site work, excavation, drainage, and installation of 36,000 sq. ft. of synthetic turf. Additional scope of work included new perimeter fencing, concrete walkways that connect all four fields, landscape sodding, and new foul poles.

Overview

Completed in June 2016, Rise Academy – Ashland School now has a new truly state of the art multipurpose alternative infill synthetic sports field that has for the first time provided the students with a safe place to enjoy outdoor activities. The newly renovated facility contains a cork infill synthetic turf field, bleachers with beautifully landscaped garden areas all bordered with new Redi Rock retaining walls and decorative fence integrated with ball stopper netting system.

This project presented a number of unique and unexpected challenges due to its urban location, local authorities/requirements and design enhancements which were added and performed during the construction process. Much of the work was delicate in nature so as to preserve the myriad of existing underground municipal utilities. The storm water management system was designed to meet the new stringent municipal storm water regulations while tying into and working in unison with the City of Newark’ s existing storm water system.
