The upgrade delivers enhanced durability, consistent playability, and the flexibility required to support the stadium’s demanding multi-use schedule. Notably, the original subbase, installed by LandTek years prior, was retained for the new system, demonstrating its continued structural integrity and performance. Completed in an accelerated 20-day construction window, the project highlights their ability to execute complex athletic facility upgrades in compressed timelines without compromising quality.

FIU selected the Matrix Helix® Turf system as part of a strategic upgrade from its previous surface, informed in part by its review of professional‑level installations, including the Miami Dolphins’ training facilities.
